Leidos’ Defense Systems Land Systems organization is seeking a team-oriented and customer focused Portfolio Manager for the RF Systems Portfolio within the RF Systems division of Land Systems. The Portfolio Manager will report directly to the RFS Division Manager supporting the Division, Business Area, and Sector strategies and objectives. This role includes overall responsibility for profit & loss, growth, technical execution, staffing, and programmatic execution for a team of 50+ scientists, engineers, and professionals that develop sensor concepts, physics-based modeling and simulation, data processing algorithms, and comprehensive high-end engineering services in radar and weapon systems for a diverse set of customers. This position has the responsibility to deliver on the financial commitments to the business and mission commitments to our customers for programs totaling over $30M/year along with personnel responsibilities including oversight of hiring, project staffing, career development, and performance evaluation/accountability.

Primary Responsibilities
Provide leadership and supervisory administration of a large and highly technical team of engineers and scientists
Responsible for execution of projects withing the organization to achieve external (and internal) customer satisfaction
Interface with customers to develop relationships and ensure the highest quality of service
Conduct planning and decision making for opportunity identification and selection for continued business growth
Promote cohesive team building with a positive winning culture
Execution of corporate business processes
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, technical, or management field, including electrical, mechanical, aerospace engineering, math, physics, computer science, project management or similar plus have at least 15 years of relevant experience in defense industry. In addition to 5 years of experience leading teams and demonstrated experience growing a team or line organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including demonstrated ability to execute technical projects while gaining the confidence of customers, technical staff, managers and peers.
Demonstrated experience interviewing, hiring, and staffing multiple projects
Must be resident of North Alabama or willing to immediately relocate
Must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance and be eligible to possess and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance

Pay Range:
Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
