Leidos’ Defense Systems Land Systems is seeking a Cloud System Administrator to join our team…with the ability and experience to work missile defense projects within the BMD Simulations and Analysis Portfolio. As a Cloud System Administrator, you’ll support architecting, deploying, and optimizing cloud infrastructures. In this role, you’ll directly support the mission critical projects and Test and Integration Team, all cloud environments, both classified and unclassified, that are a part of the overall infrastructure footprint. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and reporting skills, be a strong team player, and able to establish solid working relationships with the Customer, Program Management and technical staff members within the program.

Primary Responsibilities
Manage and maintain Linux-based system and cloud infrastructure across development, test and production environments
Apply system patches, manage compliance updates, and maintain system accreditation documentation
Manage user accounts, system health, and security posture across multiple isolated environments
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtual machines, operating systems, and custom software
Escalate and track blocking issues and impediments to progress, coordinate with leadership help to remove as needed
Coordinate with technical and program leadership to refine the cloud infrastructure and drive improvements
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology or Management Information Systems with 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience
3+ Years’ experience with Linux Operating System Administration (i.e., RHEL8, etc.)
Experience in the following:
Establishing a Cloud Infrastructure
Maintaining a Cloud infrastructure
One or more of the following: Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible or similar technology
One or more of the following: Using Azure/AWS or similar technology
One or more of the following: Linux Servers, DNS servers, Domain controllers, network storage devices and HP or Dell servers
Designing, configuring, and installing information systems such as routers, servers, switches, storage systems and laptops.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills
Security+ Certification or able to obtain within 90 days of start.
Must be a US citizen, possess and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
This is a full-time onsite support role
Must be a resident of the North Alabama area
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with RHEL 8
Experience with RHEL 9
Experience deploying the complete DevSecOps lifecycle including integration of build pipelines, automated deployments, and compliance scanning using test driven development.
Experience with vulnerability remediation and security management (system hardening, log management, configuration management (i.e., Nessus, McAfee, WSUS, Splunk, ACAS, SCAP, HBSS, etc.))
Experience with Virtualization (i.e., VMware, Horizon, vSphere, vCenter, vSAN)
Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) Requirements and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) Implementation
Experience in deployment, automated deployments, and compliance scanning using test driven development.
Experience with issue tracking tools such as Gitlab/Jira/Agility.
Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Missile Defense

Pay Range:
Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
