Description: You will be the System Integration, Test, and Evaluation (IT&E) Engineer to support a program's system integration and system qualification initiatives in Grand Prairie, TX. Our team is responsible for ensuring the successful integration and testing of major subsystems/systems and you will play a key role in working with a team of engineers to achieve technical excellence and mission success.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Advanced Programs System Integration and Test Engineer you will be responsible for working in the laboratory onsite to plan, coordinate, conduct, and report on subsystem and system level testing - from initial integration through final acceptance tests.
Duties include support of subsystem integration and testing, flight testing, use of automated test equipment during missile processing, and preparation of test related documentation. The candidate will support the development of procedures for missile functional testing using automated test equipment. This role will also require the candidate to assemble and test mockup missiles and live ordnance flight test missiles plus support flight testing at a Government Test Range requiring some travel for flight test operations.
The candidate will work under only general direction reporting to a program Integration, Test, and Evaluation Lead. The candidate will communicate technical status and issues internally to program and functional leadership, as well as externally to customers.
The candidate must be comfortable coordinating with various cross-functional organizations, groups and facilities to ensure program requirements are being met and in support of various test activities. When necessary, the candidate will travel to Lockheed Martin production facilities, supplier’s facilities, and customer facilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Working with a team of engineers in planning and executing subsystem and system integration and testing
• Support the IT&E Lead as required in coordinating with various IPTs to ensure successful integration and testing
• Supporting program reviews, including design assurance reviews and test readiness reviews
• Providing technical expertise and guidance to the team
• Communicating technical status and issues to program leadership, technical leadership, and functional leadership, as well as externally to the customer
• Travel to White Sands Missile Range, NM (missile assembly and test) and Woomera Range Complex, Australia (2 flight tests), for 4-6 weeks required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 2 years of professional experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications
• Basic electrical, software, and mechanical engineering skills
• Experience with integration of hardware

Desired Skills:
• Experience with system integration, test, and evaluation, including Air-to-Ground Missiles, flight testing, and related Test Equipment
• Familiarity with Automated Test Equipment
• Demonstrated history of Testing, Problem Solving, and Troubleshooting skills
• Experience in writing test procedures, integrating and testing hardware, and working with test facilities.
• Desired laboratory integration and test experience.
• Familiarity with common lab equipment and test equipment hardware (Oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters, Matrix Switch Cards, Digital Input/Output PXIe instruments, AC/DC power distribution systems).
• Ability to troubleshoot problems.
• Verify that test data is recorded and cataloged appropriately. Generate concise but thorough test reports purpose-built for use in V&V events.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
