What does a successful Business Intelligence Advisor do?
The Business Intelligence Advisor will be responsible for leading the collection and analysis of a wide range of information and data from various on-premises and cloud database sources and systems, designing, and developing central data warehouse using standard ETL procedures, and building data models and architecture. You will design and maintain highly complex data model, insightfully and accurately evaluate the data, and communicate the data and actionable insights via reports and dashboards.
What you will do:
- Analyze, design, develop, implement, lead and manage high-quality and high-performance data base solutions and data warehouses in Microsoft SQL stack across on-premises and cloud environments
- Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures, scripts, and functions using ETL, SSIS and T-SQL for data ingestion, migration, and processing
- Identifying prioritization and assigning tasks to the team gathering requirements and creating business requirement documentation
- Build dynamic and interactive management and executive reporting and dashboards in industry leading business intelligence tools
- Work closely with business partners and analysts to understand the data requirements and to analyze and design the necessary data flow and database architecture
- Prepare user documentation including Technical Design Document, Implementation Plan, unit test cases and other documentation as required.
- Deriving actionable insights from management and executive reporting and metrics, and delivering business recommendations
- Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements by communicating with multiple business teams in a collaborative environment
What you will need to have:
- 6+ years’ experience on Microsoft SQL and Reporting stack: SQL server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, T-SQL, DAX (Power BI), and underlying functions: strong data warehousing and ETL expertise and Business Intelligence/ Reporting experience
- Experience in gathering specifications for design, planning, coding, testing, and deploying of data warehousing and reporting project
- Experience with SQL databases creating schemas, physical tables, and relationships, and ability to apply dimensional modeling, and OLAP approaches to solutions.
- Experience in collecting and processing data and conducting analysis, ideally for management and decision-making processes.
- Experience in regression and unit testing solutions which encompasses code functionality, data constraint requirements and dimensional modeling logic for component calculations.
- Experience working with gateway, scheduler, App workspace on Power BI Service
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Business Intelligence, IT, or a relevant field and/or equivalent military experience.

- Financial or Banking industry experience
- Experience of Azure or Snowflake environment
- Implementing RLS security and other methods to restrict reports and metrics to limited audience, including creating the roles and object security as per data access requirements from business.
- Automation of analysis cube activities using AMO/TOM libraries
