What does a great Sales Compensation Advisor do?
As a Sales Compensation Advisor, you will be responsible for maintaining and executing the code which calculates monthly and quarterly bonus compensation for the referral partner business in accordance with their signed agreements. You will develop a deep knowledge of business data and understanding how to utilize it to compare actual performance against the referral partner contracts. Additionally, you will work with referral partners to understand the results and investigate and answer any questions that might arise. This is a highly technical role requiring a programming background with familiarity with large datasets and SQL Queries.
What you will do:
- Execute procedures each month to validate data and execute the calculation process
- Review results with referral partner leaders to address concerns and fix data anomalies
- Quality Control (QC) calculations to ensure calculations are operating properly
- Provide requirements to update/modify existing calculations or implement new payouts
- Assist in testing system changes as needed
- Partner with technical teams when needed to modify reports
- Run ad hoc reporting in response to business needs
What you will need to have :
- Experience in researching and navigating large data sets in sales compensation, finance, audit and/or similar discipline
- Advanced experience in Excel and SQL
- 6+ years of equivalent combination of educational background, related experience and/or military experience
What would be great to have:
- Bachelors Degree
- Experience in Oracle PL/SQL and/or SQL Server experience (packages, procedures, functions, views, etc)
- Experience in Power BI experience creating new and modifying existing reports
- Experience in Microsoft Access experience
