About the Team
The team will be made up of 6 legal analysts and 5 business analysts who will support CLM/CI customer implementation projects. Legal
Analysts will perform QC to validate and correct AI model extracts to ensure accuracy. In addition, they will configure Custom AI models for
customers. Business Analysts will gather process requirements, configure, and test pre-signature CLM workflows for customers. They will
support delivery teams in North Amer and Dublin, including direct interaction with customers.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced contract data analyst with skills in preparing, analyzing and assessing data for AI readiness, and building AI models to achieve business outcomes. This team is a critical component of the successful execution of Workday CLM’s (Evisort’s) mission to deliver high-quality Contract and Document Intelligence solutions.
In this role, you will:
Perform Document Review (Quality Control)
Assess and remediate metadata
Identify prevailing contract terms and create contract hierarchies
Collaborate with customers to build contract playbooks, include guidance on configuring clause libraries, annotating contract templates, defining logic for AI-based data point identification and extraction
Build custom AI prompts to extract specific data from fields and clauses
Responsibilities:
Document & Contract Analysis: Expertise in sourcing, pulling, and reviewing relevant sample documents, such as contracts or legal materials to extract and label key data points to inform project work and ensure accuracy.
Data Quality Assurance: Ability to audit and assess the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of contract data to ensure accuracy of AI models. Includes ensuring that key contract terms and metadata are properly extracted and standardized.
Data Mapping & Migration: Experience with migrating and cleaning contract data from legacy systems into modern CLM platforms. This requires skills in mapping data fields, transforming data formats, and ensuring consistency.
Document Management & Data Entry: Skilled in handling both out-of-the-box (OOTB) fields and custom data fields with precision, ensuring all information is accurately entered and formatted.
Data Remediation: Identifying issues in contract data (e.g., missing clauses, incorrect terms, or inconsistencies) and taking corrective action. This may involve manual intervention or automation tools.
Pattern Recognition & Categorization: Skilled in efficiently identifying, categorizing, and organizing data patterns for the purpose of summarizing “failures”, and contributing to the effective development and training of models.
Prevailing Terms and Hierarchy: Identifying and mapping prevailing terms, and organizing contracts in family hierarchy.
Data Labeling & Annotation: Proficient in accurately labeling and annotating contract templates aligned with customer’s requirements, which is used to generate draft agreements and inform the configuration of Custom AI models.
Build generative AI models Configure Custom AI models to extract specific contract data from fields and clauses.
About You
Skills
Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Experience with the practical elements of contracts, including the ability to understand and assess risk in various B2B contract types (e.g., commercial, procurement, sales, and partnership agreements).
Legal Data Extraction and Labeling: Proficiency in identifying, extracting, and accurately labeling key clauses and field-level data from legal documents for the purpose of training AI models.
Contractual Hierarchy and Prevailing Terms: The ability to organize and map complex contract relationships, including identifying prevailing terms within a group of related contracts.
Quality Control in a Legal Context: Experience with auditing the accuracy and consistency of extracted legal data to ensure it meets high standards for legal and business use. This includes a deep understanding of what constitutes accurate and complete contract information.
Process Analysis for Legal Operations: Expertise in analyzing existing legal or contracting processes to identify opportunities for automation, create workflow designs, and capture business requirements. (Desired by not required)
Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree is required, and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, Master of Laws (LL.M.), or a background in legal studies is highly desirable.
AI & Data Project Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a role focused on AI and data projects, with a strong background in data analysis, data remediation, and the building of AI models.
Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) Expertise: A minimum of 3 years of experience working directly within the CLM or Contract Intelligence (CI) domain. This should include hands-on experience in contract analysis and process analysis.
External Stakeholder Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience delivering services to external clients or stakeholders.
Workflow Automation: At least 3 years of experience in analyzing, configuring, and testing workflows to automate complex contracting processes (desired but not required).
Other Qualifications
Attention to Detail & Accuracy: A high level of precision in tasks such as data labeling, metadata remediation, and document review is critical for ensuring the accuracy of AI models and data.
Adaptability & Problem-Solving: The ability to pivot quickly in response to changes in project scope, client needs, or technical requirements. This includes a proactive approach to identifying and solving data issues.
Effective Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, as well as to understand business requirements from clients and legal professionals.
Pattern Recognition & Analytical Skills: The capacity to efficiently identify patterns in contract data, summarize "failures," and use these insights to contribute to the development and training of AI models.
Time Management & Prioritization: The ability to manage multiple, overlapping projects with variable timelines—ranging from a few days to several weeks—and to efficiently prioritize tasks and resources to meet project deadlines.
