The Role:
As a Paint Process Engineer, you will be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment ensuring that the paint processes and equipment are running safely and efficiently maximizing quality and throughput in the paint department.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

Manufacturing process definition.

Sequence of operations.

Efficient material flow.

Responsible for Paint Automation, up to 100 FANUC robots.

Responsible for supervising UAW union hourly employees.

Typically part of a larger effort or project.

Human factors consideration.

Efficient material flow.

Continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high-quality parts.

Providing technical direction and oversight to outside vendor sources.

Work may involve development and testing of advanced process technology.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Job is an Alternative Work Schedule - Seven 12 hour shifts in period of 2 weeks. The schedule is 1st week: M, Tu - 12 hours, W, Th - off, F, Sa, Su - 12 hours --> following week M, Tu - off, W, Th - 12-hour shifts, F, Sa, Su - off. Repeat two-week schedule.

Experience working in a Union Team environment.

1 yrs + Experience in utilizing process control data to run and optimize paint processes.

Experience operating/maintaining FANUC paint/sealer robots.

Fundamental understanding of painting process.

Experience with multiple FANUC robot controller platforms; RJ, RJ2, RJ3, RJ3iB, R30iA.

Experience with FANUC Robots; P-155, P-200, P-500, P-700, S-500, M-710, M-2000.

Experience with automation simulation software; Paint Pro, Tecnomatix Process Simulate.

PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
