About your role:
As a Senior Project Manager, you have the opportunity to add value and grow your skills for projects ranging from small quick projects to large cross-functional global projects in the growing Digital Solutions business unit. We provide online banking and mobile financial services applications for over 2,300 financial institutions and millions of customers. No two projects are the same and this provides the opportunity to bring out the best of yourself and the project. Projects can include transforming our business at scale for all of our financial institutions, technology refresh, compliance remediation, and other technology initiatives. You will help project and program teams deliver value by leading the full lifecycle of multiple projects while contributing as a valued team member in adapting the way we work as part of a dynamic business.
What you will do:
- Be accountable for the delivery of the projects for which you are the primary project manager for the Financial Crimes Risk Manager product along with ensuring ongoing adherence to all project management hygiene requirements for these projects. These projects are focused on technology refresh, modernization, disaster recovery, cyber, and compliance
- Plan and manage activities for the project consistent with project requirements with project team members and stakeholders globally
- Initiate and lead project planning activities such as Scope Definition and Management, Risk Management, and Communication Management
- Create and maintain a project schedule by identifying and monitoring the overall project milestones, timelines, tasks, resources, task dependencies, and critical paths
- Control and track project performance, resource allocations, cost, and quality by regularly evaluating project progress and conducting project status meetings
- Coordinate with other project managers and cross-functional teams to identify and monitor issues, impacts, and dependencies
- Build effective relationships with all functional areas and manage stakeholder expectations effectively
- Proactively manage risks and obstacles
What you’ll need to have:
- 5 years of program management experience with all phases in the full lifecycle for multiple projects and programs in a portfolio in a global enterprise with cross-functional teams distributed across global locations
- Information technology program experience at scale - including software development, transitioning to public cloud with high security governance, over 100 globally distributed employees and third-party people, and total costs in the $10 million to $30 million range
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in the written form) in a collaborative and self-directed manner with project and program team members/stakeholders in developing and maintaining appropriate project and program artifacts (e.g. dashboards, status report, stakeholder register, communication plan)
- Ability to quickly establish and maintain relationships with diverse set of stakeholders to ensure valid vision and ability to deliver value consistent with the vision and business strategy this project or program is a part of
- Ability to facilitate daily program meetings, workshops, and troubleshooting sessions with cross-functional teams along with overcoming multiple obstacles simultaneously
- Ability to add relevant value to Fiserv’s business by utilizing applicable Agile industry best practices and Fiserv standards for project, program and portfolio management.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
What would be great to have:
- Financial services industry experience, adhering to compliance and governance requirements
- PMP and PgMP or equivalent certification
