What does a successful Director of Project Management do?
At Fiserv, the Director of Project Management is responsible for leading the project management team, ensuring the successful execution and delivery of projects across the organization. This role requires strategic vision, exceptional leadership, and deep expertise in project management practices. The Director will collaborate across various divisions, including product management, account management, sales, and technology groups, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving value through successful project outcomes.
What you will do:
- Develop and implement project management strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the project management team.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to evaluate project performance.
- Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the project management team.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field, and/or equivalent military experience.
- 10+ years of experience in large-scale project/program management.
- 5+ years of experience in direct staff management.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma Green Belt, PgMP, or Scrum Master.
- Strong experience with Project Management tools.
What would be great to have:
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
- Competency in multiple software development life cycle models including Agile and Waterfall.
- Experience in the banking, financial services, and/or software industries.
- Proven leadership skills and business acumen.
- Solid experience in change management, project management, and process improvement.

- Travel, up to 25%
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
