Description:Function
Plan and perform diversified duties to rig, move, assemble, install and service all types of machine tools, large machinery and equipment.
Typical Responsibilities
Work from general instructions, drawings, and specifications to plan and perform mechanical and related operations required to erect machine foundations, install, assemble, disassemble, rig, and/or move machines and equipment as required.
Make structural frameworks, machine guards and other sheet metal, structural, or machined parts and accessories.
Plan and perform a sequence of operations involving cutting, welding, rigging, assembly, installation, machining, repair and maintenance of machines and equipment, following general instructions and standard practices.
Operate manual or power brake, chain falls, hoists, saws, drills, grinders, electric and gas welding equipment, and other machines, tools and equipment as applicable.
At request of supervisor, may be assigned other maintenance duties usually of a less skilled nature.
Refer difficulties to working leader or supervisor.
Follow all rules and regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety; contribute to the overall effectiveness of equipment by performing operator-required upkeep. Segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.
Basic Qualifications:Experience with Mig, Tig & Stick Welding
Mechanically inclined
Basic hand & power tools experience
Must be reliable & able to take direction well
Lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs
Work at heights & near moving machinery
Operate lift-truck & hoists
U.S. Citizenship Required
Desired Skills:Forklift & tow motor operator's certification

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
