We are seeking a skilled and experienced Product Manager to lead our Thermal Energy Storage and CALMAC Portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing product management strategies for thermal energy storage systems, storage-source heat pumps, and ice-rink products. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with expertise in thermal systems, electrification technologies, and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Where is the work:
Due to the nature of this role, this position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week.
What you will do:
Thermal Battery Storage Product Development and Management
Drive profitable growth and expand market penetration of product offerings.
Perform in-line product management activities, including Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) and product refinement.
Lead new product development initiatives.
Manage price realization and margin for product lines.
Collaborate with sales support teams to update and maintain the TSA selection program and product support materials for storage systems.
Work closely with other Product Growth Teams (PGTs), including controls, to influence and align technology roadmaps.
Product Management Excellence
Business Growth and Partnership Opportunities
Identify and pursue growth opportunities and strategic partnerships to accelerate the adoption of electrification and heat solutions.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, ASHRAE, and local partners.
Provide TES product, system, and sales support for customers outside Canada and the US, partnering with Trane Export for logistics.
Support sales lead inquiries generated from website activity.
Applications Expertise in Thermal Systems & Electrification of Heat
Collaborate with system applications and development teams to expand expertise in electrification and storage-source heat pump applications.
Provide technical guidance in partnership with application engineering teams to ensure successful adoption of electrification technologies.
Partner on developing training and commercialization materials focused on thermal systems and electrification.
Support account managers with equipment selection for thermal storage systems, chillers, and ice tanks, providing technical guidance.
Sustainable Systems Commercialization
Collaborate with team members to track and report progress towards Thermal Energy Storage goals.
Develop and maintain scorecards, tracking tools, and performance management systems to monitor progress and drive results.
Support the system sales team with activation and adoption plans to enhance performance.
Insights and Continuous Improvement
Collect feedback and insights from external stakeholders to refine and optimize electrification strategies.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to maintain a competitive edge
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in product management. Prior experience with thermal systems and electrification is preferred.
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing product strategies.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Experience in the commercial heating industry is highly desirable.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $146,000 - $200,000
Additional Compensation: Total compensation for this role also will include an incentive plan.
