In this role, you will:As a highly skilled and strategic professional on our Equity Finance team, the candidate will be focusing on secured funding, liquidity risk, and collateral optimization. This role is central to managing the firm's equity and fixed income funding book, driving cost efficiency, and enhancing revenue opportunities through innovative funding strategies and risk management frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement a comprehensive liquidity risk, collateral management, and secured funding framework across the Equity division, integrating trading, forecasting, reporting, policy, and risk management functions.
- Identify and implement improvements to clearing workflows, automation, and collateral/liquidity reporting.
- Collaborate with technology teams to enhance system capabilities and reduce financial resource risk.
- Manage a multi-currency, multi-asset external funding book with a focus on reducing secured financing costs and balance sheet usage while generating incremental revenues.
- Design and execute optimized funding strategies leveraging repo and securities lending, asset-backed commercial paper (ABCP), derivatives, and margin to efficiently allocate and finance collateral.
- Collaborate and build new relationships with a broad range of financing counterparties, tri-party agents, and central clearing parties (CCPs) to align collateral management practices with strategic funding objectives.
- Develop and maintain both short-term and long-term cash and collateral projections, incorporating FX hedging and cheapest-to-deliver strategies to support liquidity planning and revenue enhancement.
- Lead the negotiation, review, and ongoing management of legal documentation related to secured financing and collateral arrangements (e.g., MRA/MSLA, ISDA, CSA), working closely with legal, compliance, and counterparty teams to ensure enforceability and operational readiness.
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure documentation and funding practices remain compliant with evolving standards.
- Monitor real-time flows and forecast funding requirements based on activity.
- Work with Treasury and Risk teams to ensure sufficient funding and collateral coverage based on client flows.
Required Qualifications:- 7+ years of Securities Trading experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- A BS/BA or higher
- 10+ years of experience in equity finance, secured funding, or treasury-related roles within a global financial institution.
- Deep understanding of liquidity risk, collateral optimization, and funding markets.
- Strong analytical and modeling skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable funding strategies.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale funding books and work cross-functionally with trading, treasury, and risk teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
- Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
- Strong, clear and concise written and oral communication skills
Job Expectations:- Up to 10% travel
- Registration for FINRA Series 7 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for FINRA Series 55 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$215,000.00 - $355,000.00
