What does a successful Vice President of Sales, Credit Union do?
The Vice President of Sales for Credit Union Solutions at Fiserv serves as a strategic leader, accountable for driving sales performance and aligning initiatives to foster business growth and enhance client satisfaction. This role leads the planning, execution, and oversight of sales operations to consistently achieve or surpass targets. Core responsibilities include crafting and implementing strategies to reduce client attrition, accelerate DNA save/transfers, and grow add-on revenue. The VP plays a hands-on role in high-priority opportunities, offering leadership and removing barriers to ensure successful deal closures. Additionally, they lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team, maintaining ownership of all client-facing engagements.
What you will do:
Develop and execute retention-focused sales plans; assign accounts and quotas to ensure team success.
Lead sales efforts for at-risk clients, ensuring appropriate resource allocation and staffing.
Drive initiatives to reduce client losses and expedite DNA transfers for strategic accounts.
Define and implement strategies to increase add-on revenue across the portfolio.
Supervise, motivate, and mentor sales professionals; manage compensation, performance evaluations, and development plans.
Oversee all phases of the sales lifecycle, including strategy formulation, client engagement, deal structuring, negotiation, and closing.
Provide strategic guidance and remove obstacles to support pursuit teams in securing high-value contracts.
Monitor and analyze sales metrics, including forecasts, win/loss ratios, and client risk assessments; ensure data accuracy in eCRM systems.
Champion and model the Fiserv Way of Selling, promoting best practices and core selling competencies.
What you will need to have:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience.
12+ years of a demonstrated track record of successful new business generation.
8+ years of experience in the financial services industry, primarily focused on credit unions.
Proven record of dynamic team leadership; ability to attract, retain, and develop top talent.
Experience with core account processing solutions.
Executive presence with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong financial and analytical acumen.
