What does a successful Advisor, Software Development Engineering – Automation QA do?
As a successful Automation QA Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Fiserv’s Digital Banking platform. You will design, develop, and execute automated tests for cloud-native Open APIs, working closely with development and business teams to understand user interactions and translate them into robust test scenarios. You will be responsible for driving quality initiatives, implementing best practices, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts across the QA team.
What will you do:
- Design and implement functional and integration tests for REST APIs using Postman and other tools.
- Develop test automation frameworks and generate test data.
- Perform performance testing and analyze results using tools like Splunk.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure end-to-end test coverage.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Work with Azure DevOps and JIRA for test management and tracking.
- Contribute to containerization and deployment testing using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and security best practices.
What you will need to have:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in QA automation or software testing.
- Strong programming and debugging skills in .NET Core and C#.
- Expertise in functional testing using Postman.
- Experience with REST APIs, Azure Services, and Cosmos DB.
- Familiarity with performance testing and monitoring tools like Splunk.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and JIRA.
- Understanding of software-hardware interaction and documentation practices.
What would be great to have:
- Exposure to Playwright for UI automation.
- Experience with containerization platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of US Banking industry standards and workflows.
- Experience in agile development and a commitment to continuous improvement.
