Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer – Air and Missile Defense Program Integrator to provide comprehensive technical, logistics, and programmatic support for the Air Defense Airspace Management (ADAM) Cell and the Air and Missile Defense Planning and Control System (AMDPCS). This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful development, integration, fielding, and sustainment of advanced air defense systems across Army units.
The Systems Engineer will support all phases of ADAM Cell operations, including resource allocation, scheduling, and reporting. They will actively participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to review program documentation and assess the status of resources. Weekly cross-functional meetings will be supported to optimize system design, integration, training, and sustainment strategies. The engineer will lead hardware and software analyses for AMDPCS systems, focusing on wireless communications, tactical radios, SATCOM, and intercom technologies. They will assist in developing the system communications architecture, identifying government-furnished, contractor-furnished, and unit-furnished equipment to ensure operational readiness. Coordination of systems fielding schedules across ADA Brigades, SHORAD units, and National Guard formations will also be a key responsibility. Legacy systems will be evaluated, and recommendations are made for replacements to enhance warfighter capabilities. The engineer will crosswalk schedules and events across Logistics, Product Assurance, Test, Technical Management, and Program Management to maintain alignment and execution. They will support the development of training materials and conduct New Equipment Training (NET) for various system components. Additionally, they will review and recommend updates to Materiel Fielding Plans and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and assist with reset and depot maintenance activities to restore systems to operational standards. On-site training and troubleshooting will be provided for MIDS, SATCOM, UHF, HF, and JTT systems, while coordination with Army Divisional Units and contractors will ensure proper accountability and long-term supportability of fielded systems.
Position is fully funded, requires US citizenship, and is full time on government site. Travel will be required. Candidate must live within daily commuting distance of Redstone Arsenal or be willing to relocate.
Basic Qualifications:
- 6 - 10 Years of Experience
- Possesses a DoD final secret clearance
- Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DOD Acquisition Lifecycle
- Experience supporting ADA Brigades, AAMDCs, and SBCTs
- Knowledge of PEO C3T and IAMD systems
- Prior military or DoD civilian experience in air defense operations
