About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Network Engineer. As a Lead Network Engineer within the Global Network Infrastructure Standards (GNIS) team, you play a strategic leadership role focused on driving operational excellence across the network infrastructure lifecycle. Your responsibilities center on overseeing team execution, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards, and maintaining governance. You lead efforts to streamline and enhance existing processes, develop scalable governance frameworks, and foster continuous improvement. By proactively identifying gaps and guiding the implementation of solutions, you help ensure the stability, security, and innovation of the enterprise network environment
In this role, you will:- Oversee the structured lifecycle of vendor solution releases, including planning, testing, and approval of hardware, COTS software, and engineering documentation. Ensure smooth, risk-free deployment into production environments.
- Maintain and enhance the Configuration and Standards Engineering (CASE) application repository, ensuring accurate documentation of certified vendor products, engineering standards, and procedural guidelines. Promote adherence to published standards and compliance with internal policies.
- Support automation initiatives by refining intake and approval processes. Drive alignment with enterprise standards and operational readiness for automation deployments.
- Lead as a technical resource to members within the group, resolve day to day issues and seek improvements and consistency using automation when appropriate.
- Lead the review, resolution and implementation for the most complex technical issues and initiatives related to large scale network deployments.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and drive forward thinking changes.
- Assess changes for risk to production systems and assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas.
- Identify gaps in current technology processes and recommend changes to assure Service Level Agreements can be supported.
Required Qualifications:- 5+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Required Qualifications for Europe, Middle East & Africa only:- Experience in Network Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- Basic knowledge of AI and Cloud concepts and use of Copilot
- Experience in writing business and functional requirements
- Experience with Jira and Agile methodology (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, and Retrospective) and Kanban
- Understanding of Network Designs and implementation
- Knowledge of Ansible, Jinja2, Power BI, Python, Nautobot and GitHub
- Strong critical thinking skills, consistent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines amidst competing priorities. Exceptional
- written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate, interact and partner with all levels of the
- organization
- Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills, including a strong ability to effectively evaluate and prioritize work

- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

- Knowledge of infrastructure capabilities and solutions
Job Expectations:- This position requires in office expectation of 3 days per week

Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$119,000.00 - $187,000.00
