Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Prototype Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Prototype Procurement Order Management Lead.
The primary responsibility of this role is to lead a team of Prototype Procurement Order Management Specialists that collaborate with suppliers to ensure on-time part delivery for TMNA and TMC R&D trial builds and evaluations.
Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Prototype department's objective to procure required parts to support trial build activities at North America and Japan locations.
What you’ll be doing
Leading a team of order management specialists to ensure on-time part delivery based on detailed project plans outlining timelines, milestones, and deliverables related to prototype procurement.
Monitor and report on-time delivery KPI’s and develop countermeasures based on monthly KPI gap.
Author and maintain prototype procurement manuals.
Facilitate supplier procurement training.
Conduct supplier project reflection to identify root cause of late deliveries and develop countermeasure strategies.
Prototype order processing.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or engineering or relevant professional experience; AND/OR commensurate experience.
Demonstrated experience in procurement strategies.
Ability to work within a dynamic and diverse team/environment.
Intermediate proficiency to analyze complex information and make informed decisions.
Flexibility to adjust to changing project requirements and environments.
Proficiency managing relationships with suppliers, team members, and other stakeholders.
