Performs tests to assess conformance with engineering specifications. Sets up testing apparatus and conducts quality assurance/control tests of raw materials, parts, components, finished items, packaging, equipment and systems.
What You Will Do:
Interacts with other functional groups (e.g. engineering, manufacturing) on routine technical matters
Setting up and operating various test stands
Configuring test equipment for special tests as needed
Interpreting and recording test results
Recognizing and isolating test equipment failures
Taking electrical measurements to determine select resistors using strong math skills
Using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electronic units to the sub-assembly and component level
Reading and interpreting technical data such as component maintenance manuals, engineering prints, and schematics
Effectively communicating work status to team members and support staff (e.g. shift pass down, engineering, maintenance)
Perform technical tasks based on detailed written or verbal instructions.
Utilize limited variety of microelectronic, electronic, optical, electro-optical, mechanical, or electromechanical equipment, including computers and lasers.
Perform entry level troubleshooting, calibration or modification of hardware, fixtures, and software.
Participate on project teams.
Perform task prioritization.
Apply technical expertise in the evaluation, development, maintenance and use of products, devices, tests, or procedures under constantly changing conditions where some ingenuity and judgment are required.
Support activities through the resolution of problems and preparation and maintenance of documentation.
Manage work flow throughout area to achieve team goals.
Evaluate and troubleshoot non-conformances.
Fabricate hardware, equipment, tools or prototypes from drawings or sketches.
Estimate labor, material, and manufacturing costs for the building and repair of product or process enhancement.
Provide accurate recording of time changes, test data, parts usage, etc. This requires limited data interpretation.
Utilize multiple databases to create/use necessary information to provide information for decision making requiring limited judgment.
2nd Shift: 2 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Will train on 1st Shift for a week before moving to 2nd Shift
Work Environment
You may occasionally need to provide weekend and holiday support to meet customer needs.
In your role, you will be exposed to:
Products of various weights and sizes
Equipment with moving parts
Chemicals that may emit fumes
To minimize safety risk to you and product, you must wear static-control and personal protective equipment.
Physical Demands
Due to the nature of our work, you will need to be able to perform the following functions, with or without reasonable accommodation
Distinguishing colors and meeting vision requirements
Bending, stooping, reaching, turning as needed to place units in test stands, pick up totes, place units on rack, etc.
Using hands for extended periods of time to perform testing and troubleshooting tasks (e.g. grasping, holding, picking, placing, twisting, fine manipulation)
Must be able to stand for 2 hour increments without an opportunity to sit
Must be able to lift 25 pounds
Transporting product with or without product carts

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
Qualifications We Prefer
Associate’s degree in Electronics and/or certification in Electronics
Experience with component level troubleshooting
Experience in aerospace industry
Experience with thermal tables, vibrational tables, and test rigs.
Experience with electronics repair

To be eligible for this SkillBridge Fellowship you must meet the following requirements:
Must be eligible to participate in Fellowship per DoD Instruction 1322.29.
Must be projected to receive an honorable discharge from the military.
Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date.
Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command.
Must be located within a commutable distance or willing/approved to relocate to the job location.
