About Your Role
The Senior Director - Information Technology will increase focus and visibility for Issuer Solutions, drive accountability and quality, roadmap delivery, appropriate level of innovation and transformation through standardization for the industry and sustain engineering managed. You will lead delivery of teams across development to implementation to production support and resources through alignment and appropriate prioritization.
What you’ll do:
Lead team and others through strategic organizational change initiative while you partner with business stakeholders, client relationship managers and senior leadership to deliver strategic roadmaps on a metric driven approach to measure progress on platforms across SDLC KPIs and support
Participate in project planning and oversee development and delivery while be the single escalation point to senior leadership, and ensure developers deliver quality code, meeting coding and cyber standards
Structure team to ensure engagement and alignment of resources and skills to address support, development, and client delivery expectations
Embed the continuous improvement culture with assessment of processes, controls, quality, and development practices across the team while you support a culture that rewards success and promotes collaboration
Assess and remediate controls (reputational, financial, operational) and associated monitoring of existing environment
Build structure and succession with team leaders to be able to operate without day-to-day guidance by establishing clear roles, responsibilities, and process owners to enable the organization to become self-standing, addressing single points of failure and make it process dependent
Ensure investment in appropriate documentation for the platforms to allow for supportability, risk mitigation through cross training and support new resource onboarding
Leverage off-shore resourcing including consultants effectively with investment in pre-requisites, work allocation and guidance, creates culture of trust to off-shore certain projects with oversight
Experience you’ll need to have:
12+ years of experience in software development, and good understanding of modern practices like Cloud, DevOps, Agile, Java, APIs, modern frameworks, databases etc.
5+ years of management experience at an enterprise level using a broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes, and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
5+ years of experience leading teams in developing micro services and micro batch modern technology
Experience acting as a liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and data constraints to the business; applying equal conveyance regarding business strategy and IT strategy, business processes and workflow automation, business initiatives and IT initiatives, and benefit realization and service delivery
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
Experience that would be great to have:
Experience working in the Financial Services industry or specifically with Fiserv products and services is a strong plus
Ability to effectively communicate and navigate through complex program delivery, ensuring meeting roadmap delivery and timelines working across multiple stakeholders
Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities
Act as a team player with the ability to work effectively at all levels of an organization and influence others to move toward consensus
