These services include site acquisition, design, and construction, to full operations, maintenance, and deconstruction.
This position will be responsible for the quality of client service, utilization of staff, marketing, office reputation, contract management, billing collection, and project profitability for telecommunications engineering projects.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for field activities associated with the project, including supervision of all field construction work by electrical and mechanical subcontractors / trades and self-performed work
- Manage Subcontractors and self-perform work to ensure timely work to keep project on time / within budget and quality
- Tracks equipment purchased is in onsite at the project when needed
- Shares responsibility with the construction project manager for developing and keeping to the project budget, actively participating in the preconstruction phase, and ensuring that the project is built on time, within budget, and according to company policies and procedures
- Provides leadership of all field related MEP mission critical work activities and coordinates with Project Manager, Construction Project Manager and Subcontractors and internal crews
- Serve as primary point of contact into the field for project’s progress
- Detailed understanding of all MEP systems to include size up, costs, scheduling timeline, quality control focus points, system start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, etc.
- Ensures that project site and Jacobs and customer assets are secure and maintains a safe and respectful working environment at all times by implementing programs for safety / OSHA, Equal Employment Opportunity / EEO, risk management, training, and quality control
- Coordinates with project manager for approval on out of scope changes
- Facilitates weekly project progress and safety meetings with all subcontractor representatives and coordinates the upcoming week’s work to be accomplished
- Attends all progress meetings with the owner’s representative / data center construction Project manager
- Ensures that the project closeout process is finalized, demobilize all resources, and transition the project to the client
Qualifications:
- The successful candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship required
- 5-10 years field supervision experience required
- Experience managing Data Center Construction Projects with Budgets between $1M to $20M
- Client Facing / Client relationship / Client Management skills
- Must be familiar with the construction process of Mechanical, Electrical and Process Equipment within critical facilities.
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills is required
- Candidate with established local client relationships preferred
- Engineering or Technical degree preferred
Compensation
The annual starting salary for this position is between $80,000 - $130,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
