JOB PURPOSE:
We are seeking a results-oriented accounting professional to join the Finance team as an Financial Analyst. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate daily reconciliations and managing critical payments to the IRS and state authorities.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- This position supports the IRS 1099k backup withholding and remittance systems and procedures relating to the company payment settlement activities.
- The position will determine and initiate backup withholding and IRS remittance, perform payment research, and perform daily reconciliation of payment information to various systems.
- Reviewing the work of the accounting staff supporting the high-volume platforms
- Reconciliation of Backup Withholding reporting between TIMS, Thompson Reuters, Cash and Business Unit accounting (used for 945 IRS and states reporting)
- 1099k backup withholding process over various high volume settlement platforms
- Level 3 escalated abnormal research and approval recommendations
- Reviewing staff performing remittance, cash and liability reconciliation assistance
- Cash payment reconciliation between remittances and TIMS/TR
- State and IRS filings
- Ability to visualize proposed development alternatives and processes in an abstract manner
- Ability to work occasional overtime to meet critical deadlines set by the IRS
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Self-starter, demonstrates initiative, drive and job ownership
- Detail Oriented - Ability to research and investigate transactional level detail
- Experience in a high-volume transactional environment
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
- Strong organization skills to facilitate and coordinate multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment while responding quickly to management requests
- Proficiency with Excel is required. SAP, SAP BPC, and S4 HANA knowledge is a bonus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as a team member
Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required. 5+ years of applicable finance/accounting experience
