Description:You will be the Assembly Inspector for our manufacturing team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality and conformity of all assembled and manufactured parts, including subcontracted and purchased components, to meet our high standards and specifications.
What You Will Be Doing As the Assembly Inspector, you will be responsible for performing thorough inspections to support all phases of assembly and manufacturing, utilizing predetermined methods and determining methods and sequences as needed. You will play a critical role in identifying and documenting errors or discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records of results.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Inspecting parts for proper identification, dimensions, and conformity to standards using basic measuring equipment and instruments
- Documenting errors or discrepancies in a neat and legible manner
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of paperwork and documentation associated with inspection functions
- Participating in internal and external audits as required
- Maintaining a safe and orderly work area, and adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
- Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:1 year, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks.
Must be able to read blueprint, work instructions and interpret engineering drawing requirements.
Basic computing literacy is required.
Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, with both internal and external customers.
Experience working successfully in a team environment.
Must be able to support a flexible work schedule supporting overtime, off-Fridays, weekends, and/or alternate shifts to support product schedules as required.
Must have IPC certification, or ability to obtain certification.
Must be able to pass visual acuity and color perception exam.
US Citizen.
Desired Skills:Demonstrated computer skills areas of LM tools including SAP, Apriso, Command Media, PAL and Windchill.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
