THE WORK
• Analyzing and optimizing SMT manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality
• Identifying and implementing process improvements across the 5 SMT lines, utilizing tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies
• Experience creating and maintaining comprehensive process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and design specifications for fixtures and stencils
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to ensure seamless implementation of process changes
• Developing and maintaining detailed process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training materials
• Conducting experiments and trials to validate process improvements and ensure compatibility with existing equipment and systems
• Providing technical support and guidance to production staff, including training and mentoring as needed

WHO YOU ARE
You are a Manufacturing Engineer Sr. focusing on process improvements across our 5 Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lines. You will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes, implementing improvements, and ensuring the highest level of efficiency, quality, and reliability.

Basic Qualifications:• Minimum 8 years of experience as a manufacturing engineer or any related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a CCA manufacturing role, with a focus on SMT process improvement. Direct engineering experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of SMT manufacturing processes, including equipment, materials, and quality control methods
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies
Desired Skills:• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
• Physical ability to lift, bend, and stretch in order to perform equipment maintenance and repairs
• Ability to walk up and down stairs, as well as stand for long periods of time, in order to access and troubleshoot equipment on the production floor
• Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with MyCronic & Universal Instruments pick and place machines.
• Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or a related field
• Experience with data analytics and statistical process control
• Experience programming and troubleshooting SMT equipment
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards, such as IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 and MIL-STD-130
• Experience with automation and robotics
• Proficiency in CAD design tools, such as Creo or SolidWorks

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
