Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic HR team. This role is essential in supporting various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid understanding of human capital management practices. Duties
- Assist in the recruitment process by sourcing candidates through various channels, including social media management and ATS platforms such as Lever and iCIMS.
- Facilitate employee orientation programs to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the company culture.
- Support talent management initiatives, including performance management and succession planning.
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems like Workday, Paychex, or Oracle HCM.
- Administer employee benefits programs and assist with inquiries related to benefits administration.
- Collaborate with HR team members on change management projects and strategic planning efforts.
- Conduct data entry and collection for various HR metrics to support workforce management initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, including FMLA and OSHA regulations.
- Assist in conflict management and employee relations matters to foster a positive work environment.
- Participate in training and development programs for employees to enhance skills and performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in human resources or administrative roles with a focus on HR functions.
- Familiarity with human resources management principles, including affirmative action planning and workers' compensation.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations relevant to HR practices.
- Proficiency in using HR software such as Dayforce, UltiPro, Paylocity, Ceridian, or SAP SuccessFactors is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on interpersonal interactions.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially while maintaining professionalism at all times.
