Shift: Overnight or 3rd Shift, 10:30pm-7:00am
Position Summary:
The Duty Manager is responsible for leading janitorial services within a high-volume transportation hub, ensuring consistent service delivery, team performance, and client satisfaction. This role oversees supervisors and front-line employees during the designated overnight shift and plays a key role in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and operational standards across the facility. Located at a major airport, this position supports a 24/7 operation, requiring flexibility, proactive leadership, and strong communication with internal teams and client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain staffing levels in partnership with the local Human Resources Department.
- Review and finalize future schedules, including time-off requests and shift coverage.
- Respond to call-offs and ensure adequate coverage to maintain uninterrupted service.
- Adjust staffing levels based on client needs, special events, or operational fluctuations.
- Manage employee breaks and lunches in accordance with labor guidelines and operational flow.
- Enforce and manage the No-Fault Attendance Policy.
- Maintain regular communication with client representatives to ensure alignment on service expectations and performance.
- Complete and submit daily shift reports detailing staffing, service delivery, and operational highlights.
- Support basic administrative tasks including payroll inputs, attendance tracking, and incident documentation.
- Collaborate with other Duty Managers and Supervisors to ensure consistent staffing and service continuity across shifts.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action to team members as needed.
- Partner with the Safety & Quality Manager to uphold safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead by example, fostering a professional and respectful work environment.
- Ensure all team members adhere to safety, security, and quality standards set by ABM, the client, and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, client contacts, and facility stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operational success.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Direct oversight of Supervisors and Front-Line Janitorial Staff
Language Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate.
- Strong listening skills to support team engagement and client satisfaction.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in basic computer applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with scheduling platforms, timekeeping systems, and digital reporting tools preferred.

Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- College degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Experience:
- Previous management experience preferred.
- Previous airport experience preferred.
Overall:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
