Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and strategic Senior IT Analyst to join the BCP IT team, supporting both the ERP and MOST functions. This position plays a critical role in enabling Services growth through early-stage consultancy, strategic alignment, and the creation and management of a prioritized project portfolio. The successful candidate will contribute expert input and problem-solving capabilities to large initiatives, ensuring continuity and maximizing business value.
What You Will Do:
Consultancy & Strategic Enablement
• Engage early with business stakeholders to shape IT solutions that align with strategic goals.
• Provide expert input into large-scale initiatives, ensuring continuity and alignment with the Mach 1 roadmap and digital manufacturing strategy
Project Portfolio Management
• Develop and manage a prioritized portfolio of ERP and MOST projects.
• Support the maturation of project management practices, including capacity planning, PM tool definition, and stakeholder communication
Operational Support & Value Delivery
• Deliver value-added consulting and operational improvements across ERP and MOST systems.
• Support BCP Glovia instances, automation efforts, and corporate integration across US and UK sites
Cross-functional Collaboration
• Work closely with manufacturing engineers, IT specialists, and business leaders to optimize workflows and enhance performance.
• Facilitate cross-site functional collaboration to reduce support risks and improve knowledge sharing
Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities for process development and service enhancement.
• Contribute to long-term strategic planning and talent development within the IT function
Responsibilities
• Participates in developing, coding and testing computer programs for multiple projects.
• Participate in preparing technical and procedural documentation required in application system development.
• Creates detailed flowcharts to show processing logic for application programs.
• Execute solutions for programming system operations, including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs.
What You Have:
• Proven experience in ERP systems and manufacturing operations support (MOST).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive strategic initiatives.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
• Experience with SAP, Teamcenter Mfg, or similar digital manufacturing platforms.
• Exposure to global IT support structures and cross-regional collaboration.
• Understanding of Caterpillar IT processes and engagement models.

The ideal location for this role is Clayton, NC
This position requires the employee to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.
This position may require 10% travel.

Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
