What does a successful Bindery Operator do?
At Fiserv, a successful Bindery Operator is responsible for setting up, running, and maintaining bindery equipment to ensure high-quality print materials. Our operators are dedicated to maintaining the highest safety standards while meeting production schedules. They play a vital role in ensuring that our clients’ materials are professionally finished and delivered on time, contributing to our mission of enabling our clients to achieve their goals effectively.
What you will do:
- Operate various bindery equipment, including cutters, folders, stitchers, and laminators.
- Set up and adjust machinery to meet the specifications of each job.
- Monitor the quality of finished products and perform maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the team to meet production deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs to equipment as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
- Record production data and report any issues to the supervisor.
What you will need to have:
- High school diploma or equivalent and/or equivalent military experience.
- 3+ years of experience operating bindery equipment in a print production environment.
- 3+ years of experience in performing equipment setups and adjustments.
- 2+ years of experience in troubleshooting and performing minor maintenance on bindery machinery.
What would be great to have:
- 2+ years of experience in working with different types of bindery equipment (e.g., perfect binders, case binders).
- 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced production environment.
- Certification in industrial machinery mechanics or related field.
Important information about this role:
- You will work an assigned schedule of: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday-Friday
- Flexibility in schedule to work required overtime that includes weekends and holidays
