We’re seeking a Junior Operations Technician to help maintain and optimize the mechanical and electrical backbone of a large, complex facility. From central plants and HVAC systems to generators and automation controls, you’ll be at the heart of operations that power essential infrastructure and production processes.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor and operate vital systems: boilers, chillers, HVAC units, generators, pumps, and transformers.
- Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs—both preventive and corrective—to ensure peak performance.
- Respond swiftly to alarms and system issues, applying your technical know-how under expert guidance.
- Track system performance using gauges, manual readings, and automated controls.
- Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies and prevent equipment failures.
- Uphold rigorous safety standards and regulatory compliance across all systems.
- Support emergency response efforts during outages or critical incidents.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with teammates and supervisors to troubleshoot, report, and improve operations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–4 years of experience in facilities operations or space planning
- Solid understanding of building systems and maintenance practices
- Familiarity with safety codes, energy efficiency, and space utilization
- Basic budgeting and vendor coordination experience
- Ability to interpret technical documents and site layouts
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- 4+ years in facilities or space planning within government, corporate, or institutional settings
- Professional certifications (FMP, CFM, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and building automation systems
- Experience with CMMS or facility management platforms
- Proven leadership in managing priorities and cross-functional initiatives
- Passion for sustainability and energy-efficient operations

Pay Range:
Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00
