Job Summary:
This role focuses on enhancing logistics processes through efficient material flow management, supporting sustainable transport, and innovative logistics strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aftermarket packaging engineering and transport technology, with experience in multimodal transport systems and logistics operations. The role involves establishing packaging specifications for supply parts, overseeing packaging processes at distribution centers, and developing a system to house these specifications. The position requires the application of best practice PMO methodology to create project plans that meet stakeholders' needs and deliver desired outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a thorough analysis of current operational processes to identify inefficiencies in material flow within the aftermarket supply chain.
- Collaborate closely with local warehouse leadership, to eliminate customer quality issues, drive problem-solving, facilitate corrective action, and process improvements.
- Evaluate and recommend the best process alternatives to simplify, standardize, and improve quality and inefficiencies in the supply chain.
- Optimize material handling practices and storage configurations to improve distribution efficiencies and reduce the cost of poor quality.
- Recommend and specify warehouse equipment, systems, and technologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and speed.
- Develop standard work and provide training material for best practices across warehouses in Supply.
- Design and approve packaging solutions that ensure optimal material handling, protection, and transportation efficiency.
- Establish packaging specifications for supply parts and oversee packaging processes at distribution centers.
- Provide practical recommendations for continuous improvement in logistics processes, with a focus on environmental sustainability and digital transformation.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred
- 5-10 years of aftermarket supply chain experience
- 5-10 years’ project management experience.
Skills and Competencies:
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop project plans and manage individual deadlines and goals.
- Knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation, and metrics.
- Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions, and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis.
- Advanced proficiency with all MS Office applications, MS Project, and/or Visio.
- Highly organized with good time management skills.
- Analytical thinker with creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to apply mathematical modeling and algorithmic approaches to optimize material flows.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $72,000- $102,600
