What will I be doing?
As Vice President AD&C CALA, you will lead all aspects of architectural feasibility, programming, planning, design, engineering, and related processes to ensure the successful delivery and opening of Hilton branded hotels across the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) region. On the AD&C CALA team reporting to the Vice President Development CALA, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team of architects, designers, engineers, and project managers. Together, you will provide strategic guidance and technical services to owners and their professional teams, supporting the design and construction of worldclass Hilton branded hotels and resorts.
Your Responsibilities Will Also Include
- Lead a team of exceptional Team Members that are passionate about assisting owners in developing the best-in-class hotels in the CALA region.
- Encourage and empower the team to ensure strong performance and full engagement in the company's growth and brand strategy objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies, processes, and procedures to position the function to successfully achieve the company and department objectives. Evaluate progress against KPIs and objectives to make appropriate adjustments as needed.
- Support the Hilton Development team in securing all new hotel, adaptive re-use, and conversion opportunities and ensure potential projects are positioned to receive development committee approval.
How You Will Collaborate With Others
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and consultants to provide guidance as Prototypes, Standards, FF&E packages and other Brand defining elements are created.
- Lead the team and processes to collaborate closely across departments and hire professional consultants as necessary to develop and update key strategic documents like Brand Narratives and Design Guides, Brand Prototypes, Design and Construction Standards, FF&E packages, Renovation Guides and other Brand, Design and Construction, Engineering documents.
What Initiatives You Will Take Ownership Of
- Maintain primary responsibility with the team for all architectural and interior design reviews with the team throughout design and construction, ensuring successful project opening.
- Lead all high-profile brand development projects in CALA, (e.g., All Inclusive, Branded Residential, Membership Club projects).
- Coordinate and present monthly architecture and design progress reports and updates to CALA AD&C, Brand leadership, and other Hilton stakeholders, quarterly or as required.

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
- Ten (10) years of Hospitality Architecture, Project Management, Design and Construction experience.
- Ten (10) years of Managerial, Supervisory or Project experience with teams over 10 people.
- In-depth knowledge of Architecture, Design and Construction especially as it relates to the Hospitality Industry.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft and Adobe, Word, Excel, Photoshop and InDesign.
- Willing to travel internationally extensively to the region (60-80% of the time).
- Fluency in Spanish
It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Architectural, Engineering, Project Management or Interior Design License/Certificate.
- Fifteen (15) years of Hospitality Project Management, Architecture, Design and/or Construction experience.
- Experience with large Resorts, All Inclusive, and Residential projects.
- Language skills in: Portuguese and/or French.
