Position Overview:
Fineotex Chemical Limited, a dynamic and growing company with annual revenues of up to $100 million+, is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Finance Head to lead our financial operations in Houston, Texas. This executive leadership position is responsible for the entire finance function, reporting directly to the Top Management team. The Finance Head will have full P&L responsibility for the Houston market and will be a key driver of our business growth and profitability. This role requires a leader who can translate corporate vision into actionable financial plans, build and lead a high-performance team, and ensure the company's financial health and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Management:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives and long-term vision.
- Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the executive team, offering insights and recommendations to drive business performance.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational realities.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modeling, to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify and assess opportunities for business expansion, cost efficiencies, and process improvements to enhance profitability and shareholder value.
Financial Operations and Control:
- Oversee all aspects of the accounting and finance functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust internal controls and financial systems to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- Manage the company's cash flow and working capital to optimize liquidity and support operational needs.
- Lead the development and evaluation of internal audit procedures to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency.
Business Partnership and Leadership:
- Collaborate with the Sales and Business Development teams to structure and negotiate commercial contracts, fostering strong client relationships and driving revenue growth.
- Serve as a key business partner to department heads, providing financial insights and support to help them achieve their operational and financial targets.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required. An MBA or CPA is highly preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior management role. Experience in the chemical or manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams, scaling operations, and managing a P&L of a multi-million-dollar business.
- Leadership Style: A data-driven, decisive, and collaborative leader with a focus on empowering teams and driving results.
Skills:
- Strong business and financial acumen, with a deep understanding of financial planning and analysis, accounting principles, and corporate finance.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, as well as experience with ERP systems and business intelligence tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, with a commitment to fostering a positive and high-performance work environment.
- Proficiency in English, Hindi, Gujarati, or Urdu is considered an added advantage.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without the need for visa sponsorship.
