About E&ES:
Caterpillar’s Electrification & Energy Solutions (E&ES) Division will focus on delivering advanced electrified power train, zero-emissions products/technologies, and the solutions and services associated with these technologies. Focus areas include batteries, fuel cells, motors, inverters, micro grid controllers, charging, energy storage systems, lifecycle solutions/services and integration of components for ePowertrain solutions across industries.

What you will do
We are seeking a visionary and execution-focused leader to establish and lead Caterpillar’s newly announced motor prototyping facility in Noblesville, Indiana. This site represents a pivotal step in advancing our division’s electrification strategy and will play a critical role in developing multiple motor technologies.
As the Site Leader, you will be responsible for building and scaling operations from the ground up, fostering a culture of innovation, safety, and collaboration. You will lead a team of professionals across operations and development, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and delivering high-impact results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the startup and operational readiness of the Noblesville facility.
- Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing cross-functional team.
- Oversee prototyping activities and ensure alignment with electrification technology roadmaps.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.
- Drive continuous improvement, quality, and safety initiatives.
- Represent the site in strategic planning and external engagements.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in manufacturing, R&D, or prototyping environments.
- Strong understanding of electric motor technologies and product development cycles.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment within a global enterprise.
What you will have:
Operations: Knowledge of motor manufacturing plants and operations. Experience in a variety of operational roles from supply chain to quality.
Level Extensive Experience:
• Designs awareness programs for multi- and cross-functional issues of the regulatory environment.
• Evaluates relevant industry practices from an operations perspective and works accordingly.
• Recommends efficiencies in operational functions wherever possible.
Collaborating: Deep expertise in working cross functionally with engineering, design, testing, validation in order to drive process design for manufacturability.

Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.
Level Expert:
• Mentors others on the organizational and cultural transformation needed for effective lean implementation.
• Creates training programs for the approaches to developing and executing a lean supplier strategy.
Additional Information:
• This role will be located in Noblesville, IN
• Up to 10% travel will be required for the role.

Summary Pay Range:
$156,000.00 - $234,000.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
