What does a successful Data Entry Specialist do?
As the Data Entry Specialist, you will join the Master Data team involved in creating and maintaining master data in various systems. You will create, maintain, and block common finance master data, including GL accounts, profit centers, cost centers, customers, and materials at the request of business owners following standard processes. In this role, you will also be involved in ad hoc projects such as user acceptance testing, data reconciliation and validation for system and application upgrades. You will help us achieve our goal of “upon approval, creating master data correctly the first time”.
What you will do:
- Manage common finance master data (e.g., GL accounts, customers) following standard processes and governance guidelines.
- Enforce compliance with enterprise standards during master data creation and system upgrades.
- Perform user acceptance testing and data validation for system and application upgrades.
- Maintain account and entity hierarchy mappings and month-end master data reports in various systems.
- Provide internal support on master data issues, create validation rules, and manage ledger access approvals.
- Collaborate with users to gather requirements and ensure master data supports operational and reporting needs.
- Monitor and resolve data quality issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation for master data processes and procedures.
What you will need to have:
- 2 years’ experience entering and validating data in systems.
- Experience verifying or updating customer information.
- Experience with quality control.
- Experience using MS Office: Excel and Word.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.
What would be great to have:
- Knowledge and experience with Oracle and/or SAP.
- Experience with Hyperion Data Relationship Management.
- Industry experience in the Fintech and/or software industries.
- Familiarity with integration tools and data migration strategies.
