The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Data and Cost Systems Analyst - Government Estimating to join the Estimating Data & Analytics team at one of our major Boeing sites.
This challenging role will support development of AI-powered estimating tools, parametric cost estimates, Cost Estimating Relationships (CERs), cost model development, and data collection, organization, and analysis.

Familiar with AI techniques and statistical modeling for developing analytical solutions
Position Responsibilities:
Working with Boeing data systems (IRE, EAS, PMAS, CSPR, etc.) to create databases and data tools, understanding how our different data sources connect to link them for various data tool solutions, managing the ETL process
Leveraging statistical software such as JMP, R, and others to build out analytical models and perform analyses
Developing analytical solutions for imperfect datasets
Data normalization, working with and understanding datasets from a variety of programs/platforms and systems. Mapping data to common baselines to normalize and analyze cross platform data
Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs), specifically, to power data analysis and solutions for estimating
Influences colleagues and customers to use mathematical tools and processes
Codes, tests and maintains data tools and analytical models
Lead and support in the design of cost models, dashboards, metrics and reports utilizing standard technologies and methodologies that support cost analysis objectives
Independently determines and develops approaches to mathematically sound assessments in support of cost estimates, and contributes to the development of new principles and concepts
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a quantitative field (e.g. statistics, operations research, information systems, bioinformatics, economics, computational biology, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry or similar quantitative fields)
Experience with at least one of the following data modeling tools: SQL, Python, PySpark, R/RStudio, Databricks, Dataiku, Tableau, Pandas, NumPy
1+ years of experience in one of the following areas: databasing and data normalization, large language models (LLM), or running advanced statistical analysis on datasets or related graduate degree
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Proven experience analyzing large datasets and presenting actionable insights to leadership
Experience with statistical analysis and advanced methods (probability theory/distribution, multivariate analysis, parametric/non‑parametric models, etc.) and developing CERs/cost models and parametric estimates
Proficiency with statistical software, programming languages, and databases,
Experience with Application Programming Interface (API) design and application
Experience with Machine Learning (ML)/AI concepts: particularly LLMs (including prompt engineering). Natural Language Processing (NLP), clustering, optimization, and applications in time series analysis, stochastic models, and data mining.
Strong technical data analysis background and defense industry experience
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and quantitative problem‑solving skills

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $85,000 - $115,000
