The Role
We are looking for a high-performing Engine Development Engineer - Scripting Lead, who is responsible for planning, designing, and executing subsystem level tests in a world class testing and development facility. Tasks also include leading test development activities, data analysis, identifying opportunities for data reduction, and aiding in the migration of lab-based activities to math. This is an assignment where creativity, initiative and independent judgment are involved, and effective cross-organizational teamwork is crucial.
What You'll Do

Gather requirements and design dyno automated tests

Lead team by prioritizing scripting development tasks and assigning responsibilities

Train, Mentor, and develop new engineers

Utilize math based tools like AVL COR DOE, ASCMO, and ANN tools to improve models and reduce data collection

Support math-based activities, migrating additional work from Road and Lab to Math based models and data analysis

Develop and execute first-time capable tests for calibration and hardware development

Track and report on testing progress and issues

Lead diagnosis and resolution of issues that occur during setup and testing

Actively participate in Product Development Teams and work with Technical Experts to improve current tests and develop new tests. This may involve comprehending related ECU algorithms and associated calibration process

Utilize and create post processing tools to assure data quality and track usefulness of data in generation of final calibration or reports

Develop and implement standard work processes and procedures globally

Interact with facilities, technical leads, calibration teams, hardware release engineers, and others to improve process and test efficiency
