Purpose and Scope:
Manage assets on behalf of the company, making important investment decisions that will help the portfolio grow. Ensure the investment doesn’t depreciate and exposure to risk is mitigated. Tracks and monitors non-expendable property assets throughout the asset life cycle. Analyzes asset levels to ensure efficient allocation through asset tracking system. Prepares reports for management review assets management.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provides overall clerical and administrative support.
- Answers telephone, screens, and directs calls.
- Opens and distributes mail.
- Performs word processing and typing functions as required.
- Coordinates property consignments; interfaces with subcontractors/vendors on property consignments, releases, and other property management requirements; and interfaces with government officials, the general public, and owners/violators.
- Performs data entry into required databases. Runs reports and prepares correspondence as directed.
- Maintains property files from acceptance to close-out.
- Calculates storage charges and processes release documentation.
- Assists in sales activity as required.
- Perform inventories, processes unserviceable assets for turn in as directed.
- Perform all other position-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Four (4) years of relevant experience with associate’s degree; 0-2 years of relevant experience with bachelor’s degree.
- Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs.
- Ability to speak, read and write English
- Must have authorization to work in host country.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust U.S. Government Clearance.
- NOTE: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. Occasional travel required.
