The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Information Technology Senior Manager to join the team in Berkeley, MO.
The Information Technology Senior Manager will be responsible for driving consistent delivery of services across all the Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) Product Divisions in support of next generation air dominance efforts. The senior IT leader will be day-to-day reporting to the Program’s Digital Infrastructure Segment Integrated Product Team (IPT) leader via dotted line and will report into the Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Chief Information Officer (CIO) organization via hard line.
The successful candidate will marshal IT services to ensure IPT objectives are met, prioritizing all IDT&S activities with the IPT leader and other program stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Cybersecurity, Supply Chain, etc.) to ensure IT deliverables are on schedule, within budget, and meet key requirements for the program. Additionally, they will manage and provide developmental opportunities for IT employees, ensuring growth of leadership and technical skills across the team. The IT leader will also develop and support a culture of trust across all IT teammates, bringing forth innovative ideas, and replicating best practices and technologies to improve program results.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership to develop and implement a technology strategy that aligns with the program and IDT&S goals
Collaborate with the IPT and functions to understand challenges and initiatives and to bring in the correct resources to provide options and educate the program/function on IT service offerings
Engage with IPT leader and other stakeholders to understand technological needs, requirements, and challenges
Collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
Facilitate analysis and provide recommendations to the IPT on strategic “Make-Buy” decisions involving IT service offerings for the program
Represent the program back into IDT&S to ensure services and solutions are provided in alignment with program needs
Develop and execute communication plans, including status to IPT leadership and other stakeholders on IT initiatives, impact on business objectives, financial performance, risks, compliance, etc.
Lead assigned integration activities, identify risks and impacts, and coordinate with the program to approve mitigation plans or changes to commitments
Drive continuous improvement based on data, metrics, and lessons-learned around IT processes, procedures, tools and techniques; ensure alignment to quality management solutions for the program
Work across the enterprise, model and analyze data from a computing technical and total business viewpoint, and integrate into an overall computing system and application systems architecture
Connect the networking, processing, and data management that provides the most effective computing infrastructure
Foster innovation by identifying and proposing solutions for emerging technologies that deliver business value
Have overall accountability and planning responsibilities for IDT&S dollars spent in support of the program
Ensure that financial decisions are aligned with technology roadmaps and long-term strategic goals
Ensure that all IT systems and infrastructure are reliable, secure, and efficient
Continuous monitoring of performance and proactively mitigate risks before they become issues
Engage during outages, proactively communicating current status and remediation plans; engage in follow-on Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) to ensure preventative actions are implemented to mitigate recurrence
Understand program’s total cyber landscape, risk portfolio, audit observations and compliance position; implementing steps and controls to address non-compliance
Understand external services provided by suppliers, including structure and terms of program contracts, to ensure alignment with business needs and expectations
Engage with key IDT&S suppliers to monitor performance, ensuring service delivery, and fostering strong, collaborative relationships
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
10+ years of experience in a management or technical leadership role
5+ years of experience in multiple disciplines of Information Technology, Cyber, & Security
5+ years of experience with IT architectural concepts, principles, standards, tools, techniques, and methodologies
5+ years of experience with concepts and processes of managing a software system throughout the entire life cycle
5+ years of experience in risk management principles and tools (e.g., frequency and effect matrix) and applying them in various situations to determine necessary and cost-effective fire protection
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
Experience in the Defense Industrial Base with program execution, risk management (technical/schedule/cost), and stakeholder engagement
Experience driving value to programs through proactively leveraging data and metrics to continuously improve processes & team performance
Experience with big picture ideas and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area.
Experience with inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance
Experience with preparing executive briefings and technical/non-technical summaries
Experience managing IT Infrastructure, Change Governance, Root Cause Analysis, System and Networking Architecture, DevOps, & Cloud Operations
Experience with collaborating across functions (e.g. program management, engineering, contracts, finance, supply chain) to drive action in a matrixed organization
Experience with different IT disciplines (e.g., infrastructure, information, application, security, system management, system integration)
Experience using multiple project management methodologies (e.g. Agile and traditional Waterfall)
Experience in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA, Confluence, etc. )
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products
Experience with IT in Supply Chain Operations and strategic “Make-Buy” decisions

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $174,250 – $235,750
