Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 10 countries.
Job Summary
In this position, you will play a pivotal role to oversee crews who perform various Non-hazardous Solid-waste operations by advancing our sustainability initiatives and daily operations of the Solid-waste, Recycling and Composting programs. This position leads a dedicated team in ensuring the efficient sorting, processing, and disposal the Non-Hazardous Solid-waste as well as recyclable and compostable materials, while upholding safety, compliance, and productivity standards. Working closely with vendors, environmental teams, and internal departments, the foreman drives logistics coordination and continuous improvement in waste diversion strategies. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone passionate about environmental stewardship and operational excellence—ideal for candidates who want to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead daily activities related to the collection, sorting, and processing of Non-Hazardous Solid-waste as well as recyclable and compostable materials.
Coordinates work schedules of department personnel to ensure Solid-waste receptacles are distributed, cleaned and emptied per the established frequencies and routes.
Ensure proper handling, segregation, and storage of materials to prevent contamination and maintain compliance.
Coordinate logistics for pickups and deliveries with haulers, vendors, and third-party partners.
Monitor machinery and equipment performance, coordinating timely maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment across all facility areas.
Track and manage inventory of bins, containers, and composting supplies to support uninterrupted operations.
Collaborate with procurement to source environmentally sustainable materials and equipment.
Liaise with internal departments to develop and implement waste diversion and reduction strategies.
Train and mentor team members on operational procedures, safety protocols, and sustainability goals.
Document operational metrics and report performance data to support continuous improvement efforts.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Hight School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year experience in a Lead, Foreman position or other leadership role.
Familiarity with environmental regulations and workplace safety standards.
Intermediate in English proficiency: Must be able to speak, read, and write in English at an Intermediate level.
Fluency in Albanian and possessing an unrestricted right to work and reside in Kosovo.
Must have a valid vehicle driver’s license and maintain its validity for the duration of employment. (Light vehicles).
Preferred Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Certification in waste management, environmental science, or a related field.
Prior experience operating Forklifts or heavy equipment.
Background in logistics coordination or vendor management within waste services.
