What does a successful CA Server Systems Analyst do at Fiserv?
An CA Server Systems Analyst owns critical monitoring, automation and production operations for our Managed Services ATM fleet and Cash & Logistics applications to identify and resolve issues, drive improvements and keep systems running securely and reliably.
What you will do:
- Operate and maintain CA Server Automation (including CA ITCM) and troubleshoot Windows systems across multi‑tier non‑production and production environments.
- Create application monitoring scripts, automate alerts tied to log files and ensure monitoring alerts and system events are risk‑assessed, prioritized, and acted on promptly.
- Recommend performance and infrastructure capacity improvements; enhance existing macros, utilities, and automation; review turnover artifacts and validate completion prior to production installs.
- Support applications that enable the Managed Services ATM fleet and Cash & Logistics; coordinate cross‑functional teams to identify project issues, monitor action items, and drive timely resolutions.
- Demonstrate self‑driven critical thinking to provide options, recommendations, and escalation remediation; maintain and create technical support documentation and work independently with minimal guidance.
What you will need to have:
- Direct experience with CA Server Automation (CA ITCM), Windows Server environments, SQL Server/databases, and PowerShell scripting.
- Proven experience in Agile/DevOps cultures and familiarity with data communications protocols such as TCP/IP; experience creating dashboards and working with monitoring tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, ExtraHop) is a plus.
- Ability to work off‑hours/weekends and participate in 24x7 on‑call rotations; strong analytical problem solving with a record of producing technical support documentation and enabling team knowledge transfer.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent; minimum 7+ years IT experience with development or operations support focused on Windows Systems Administration and/or Windows development.
What would be nice to have:
- 5+ years’ experience with software automation technologies and exposure to automated testing practices with a willingness to master and implement them.
- Experience or domain knowledge supporting ATM applications, Cash & Logistics systems, and willingness to learn and maintain legacy applications.
- Basic Linux familiarity and working knowledge of Microsoft Azure (both considered a plus).
