Title: Senior Salesforce Developer
Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid)
Duration: 6+ months (possible extension)
The Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS) is seeking to hire a motivated Senior Salesforce Developer to join its Medicaid Systems Development (MSD) team and help drive digital transformation through Salesforce solutions. The ideal candidate is to have hand-on experience with Salesforce configuration, and integration, along with a strong understanding of business processes and CRM best practices. MassHealth (MH) is the EOHHS office that administers the Medicaid program and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) in Massachusetts. MassHealth applications provide critical support for access to health care for some of Massachusetts' most vulnerable individuals.
Job Duties:
- Manage and maintain the organization's Salesforce environment, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
- Design, develop, test and deploy custom solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components (Aura/LWC) and declarative tools.
- Architect scalable, secure and high-performance solutions, ensuring best practices for development and integration.
- Lead requirements analysis, technical design sessions, and solution architecture discussions with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
- Integrate Salesforce with external systems using APIs (REST/SOAP), middleware and data migration tools.
- Maintain and optimize existing Salesforce applications, workflows and processes.
- Stay up to date with Salesforce releases, new features and best practices.
- Provide end-user training, support, and documentation.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to improve operational efficiency and CRM utilization.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA and project managers to ensure successful delivery.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business or a related field or relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce development, including Apex, Lighting Components (Aura/LWC) and Salesforce configuration.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, security and data models.
- Proven experience integrating Salesforce with third-party systems via REST/SOAP APIs.
- Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools (e.g., Gearset, Copado, Salesforce DX).
- Proficiency in Salesforce configuration, data management, and security settings.
- Salesforce Platform Developer II certification (or equivalent experience)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Salesforce Architect certifications (Application/System Architect) are a plus.
- Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud or Marketing Cloud.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for Salesforce.
- Experience on AWS services like Lambda, EKS, Fargate, Batch, Lightsail, WAF, Step Functions.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, communication and leadership skills.
