The Role:
The WMS Process Analyst will partner with Implementation Lead as well as CCA cross-functional organizations (e.g. Operations, Inventory Management, Order Management, etc.) to understand and document business processes, business needs, and industry best practices in warehouse management, customer order fulfillment, warehouse-to-warehouse transfers, and lean materials management. The focus of the role will be to understand, define and document or revise a combination of current material flow, lean best practices and other continuous improvement solutions involving warehouse management and movement and flow of materials from receiving to shipping in the most flexible and effective manner. This area is strategic to GM CCA’s ability to implement long-term strategic initiatives as the distribution network undergoes strategic transformation.
The role requires a high-level of attention to detail. customer focus, and deep business knowledge to ensure the appropriate business processes are clearly defined, documented, and delivered at or above expectations. Strong oral and written communication skills are required, with proven ability to communicate and build relationships cross-functionally.
This role requires deep knowledge of material management processes around the globe and industry best practices.
What You'll Do: (Responsibilities):

Conduct “As-is” material flow mapping and documentation.

Collaborate cross-functionally to design “To-be” process flows in line with industry best practices.

Determine User Acceptance Testing scenarios and write detailed test scripts. Work with multiple implementation teams to standardize comprehensive user acceptance testing and End User Training plans.

Document specific WMS warehouse requirements through various strategies including leading requirement workshops, leveraging existing GM material, and capturing input from multiple stakeholders.

Seeks formal buyoff of documented requirements.

Drive WMS standardized processes, recognizing and analyzing non-standard requirements. Recommend resolution of non-standard requirements and escalate disputes and risks promptly.

Drives continuous improvement toward standardized processes.

Works together with Operations Launch/Project teams to develop and execute the End User Training plan.

Coordinates the operational planning for Inventory Conversion and Go Live.

Makes key contributions, and leads training of salaried supervisory staff and the represented workforce covering one or more designated areas of responsibility (i.e. Inbound, Inventory Control, Processing, Outbound, etc.).

Structures and standardizes the extraction and curation of data from WMS and transforms relevant data points into standardized Key Performance Metrics.

Supports the implementation of GMS Principles in the WMS process design.

Capture Lessons Learned throughout all stages of the project.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

A bachelor’s degree in an engineering, supply chain management, manufacturing, technical discipline or equivalent work experience

3-5 years of experience in Supply chain business process, systems, and data base experience

In-depth business knowledge of current lean processes and material handling.

Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.

Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Azure Dev Ops, and Power BI.

Understanding of business issues and data challenges of spare parts warehousing and material handling business. This can be substituted with understanding or experience in dry goods warehousing process design experience.

Strong business acumen, and the ability to translate “data” to a “business story” and effectively communicate it to business stakeholders and partners.

Experience with business process models, business requirements/user stories (functional and non-functional).

Warehousing processes and tools.
-
Excellent written and documentation skills, as well as version management.

Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with others whose primary language is not English.

Ability to develop/create and deliver end user documentation and training.

Creative problem solver, flexible, proactive, and ability to work in fast paced, ever changing environment.

Travel may be required across the US & Overseas.

5+ years of WMS experience within a fulfillment or manufacturing organization preferred.

1-2+ years of WMS experience within a fulfillment or manufacturing organization preferred.

Extensive and detailed documentation of Business process, training material experience.

Creation of work instructions, process standards and training material.

Analytical thought process.

Proven ability to learn new technologies.
