Description:You will be the Manufacturing Engineer for the Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) PAC‑3 Program Manufacturing Engineering team. Our team is responsible for delivering high‑performance missile manufacturing and assembly solutions across internal sites and external suppliers.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for driving manufacturing excellence for the PAC‑3 missile program. You will partner with design, production, quality, supply chain and program stakeholders to ensure products are built on schedule, within cost, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers, Production Operations, Program Management, and Financial Management to align engineering solutions with business goals.
- Manage and coordinate Notice of Change (NOC) and Production Line Validation (PLV) activities for both internal and external production sites.
- Apply data‑driven analysis to identify improvement opportunities and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal partners, ensuring clear communication of technical decisions and changes.
- Navigate complex situations across all organizational levels to achieve productive outcomes and maintain schedule integrity.

Security Clearance Requirement
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an Interim Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:• Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
• Manufacturing background in mechanical, electrical, or assembly
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, i.e., the ability to interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts, and/or calculate and explain Process Capability (Cp) and/or Process Capability Index (Cpk), and/or understand how process variability and centering affect overall capability
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical process issues
• Proficiency in MS Office tools
Desired Skills:• Active Secret clearance
• SAP experience and/or an MRP production control system
• PAC 3 experience
• Experience with production tooling
• Experience working with external vendors and
manufacturing sites
• Experience presenting to executive audiences
• Experience using data analytics to optimize processes
• Experience establishing/improving manufacturing build sequences
• Experience with complex missile sub assemblies and Bill of Materials

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
