Description of Role
This position manages the business and growth for OnStar Protect Services, collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Marketing, Vehicle Programs, Brands, CX, go-to-market, and sales channels. Key tasks include tracking execution against business plans, ensuring readiness for go-to-market, and supporting the Protect suite—featuring services like automatic crash response, stolen vehicle assistance, emergency services, and OnStar Guardian. The role drives impactful results and engagement within GM's enterprise.
Key Job Responsibilities:

Define target customer, market positioning, and key areas of differentiation for products and features within domain.

Support the development of new strategies and identification of new opportunities that meet the protect value proposition with a cross functional group of General Motors stakeholders on the marketing, product, sales and channel teams.

Build and support comprehensive business cases in partnership with Product Management and Finance

Deliver core value proposition and messaging plans for products, features and experiences.

Support the go-to-market strategy for new products/features, including pricing, packaging and sales strategies

Build channel and distributions plans for products, features, and experiences.

Drive alignment between Product, Sales, and Marketing using the 4P framework to ensure consistent execution across all customer touchpoints and segments.

Regularly track key performance indicators across priorities, conduct in-depth analyses, and communicate actionable items.

Conduct ongoing 4P performance reviews with cross-functional teams to optimize pricing, refine messaging, and adjust channel strategies based on product-market fit, inclusive of competitive threats.

Facilitate business support for Software & Services Product Management and Strategic Tech Partnerships.

Ensure launch milestones, business readiness and campaign strategy lead to flawless execution.

Apply data and analytics methodologies to set direction and prove/disprove hypotheses in our strategies.

Support customers and education for products, features and services.

Assess business plans, roadmaps, competitive landscape and provide recommendations for improvements and adjustments.

Integrate with Global Regions on unique local needs and assist in prioritization for resource allocation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of product marketing or product management experience.
- Experience building, analyzing, and communicating business cases in partnership cross functionally to all levels of leadership.
- Experience working with market research and analytics to curate customer insights and market trends.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to effectively communicate and present to all levels of the company
- Ability to organize and plan effectively, in an ambiguous and continually changing environment
- Highly developed oral and written communications skills, with a focus on succinct, simple messaging
- High level of interpersonal skills to build strong relationships and work effectively with, motivate and elicit work from others
