Position Overview
Join a team supporting NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) program, specifically the Program Integration Cross Program Team supporting the Artemis II and III missions. The Program Integration Team is the overall “integrator” across the SLS Program. They interface with every technical and programmatic team on the program to ensure customer engagement, continuous improvement, baseline management, and overall communication across a diverse team on multiple sites. It’s a very dynamic team and is rebuilding areas of need as things occur. The Program Leadership depends on this team for overall integration and baseline management, so some good strong communicators with strong organizational skills, and attention to detail will be good.
Key Responsibilities
This role provides key support to the Program Integration Manager in the areas below. The expectation is this candidate will lead the organization in support of the PI Manager to develop processes and approach for establishing a solid framework across the entire team for managing staffing baseline, tracking, and the overall tasks defined below. Candidates that have experience or acumen in these areas and the ability to lead this establishment of the framework would be considered. Likely experience level of 10 years + of experience. Good interpersonal skills to communicate across teams.
Specific tasks for this Program Support role are:
- Staffing Planning – Good Programmatic understanding. Ability to work with technical and program teams to ensure staffing and overall budget alignment.
- Operating Rhythm Support – generally, help lay out the daily rhythms, meetings across the teams.
- Employee Engagement (Integration across all 3 sites (at HSV, KSC, and Michoud in Louisiana), recognition, etc, sending comms out)
- Support for new Continuous Improvement Team – very important area to continue to find ways to better execute and improve across all team functions.
- Interface with NASA in various areas, and ability to represent the Boeing Prime with NASA addressing various items, as required.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship (federal contract requirement).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Aerospace, or a related field.
- 10+ years plus of relevant engineering or mission operations experience.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical documentation.
- Ability to operate independently and lead the establishment of processes and approach for effective management of the above tasks.
- Fully on-site preferred and a must initially, but hybrid work is possible if good relationship is established.
- Must be highly detail oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., M365/Teams, MS Office, etc.)
- must be eligible to obtain a government clearance – standard NACI
Preferred Qualifications
Prior NASA experience
Familiarity with SLS/ICPS or Artemis programs.
Experience with staffing, budget planning, and overall team communications.
Additional Info
Location: Huntsville, AL (MSFC) hybrid options may be available.
Occasional evening/weekend support during key events may be required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
