The Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC) AI Red Team is dedicated to ensuring that AI systems are secure, compliant, resilient, and responsibly deployed. We are seeking a high energy intern with a passion and degree focus on computer science or relevant engineering degree to support the AI Red Team. In this role, you will get the opportunity to participate in AI red teaming activities for AI applications across the Lockheed Martin enterprise. You will get to learn and shape innovative research in adversarial AI and ensuring the development and deployment of ethical and responsible AI systems.
Must exhibit self-motivation, a strong work ethic, time management and interpersonal skills.
The selected candidate can work at any major Lockheed Martin facility or remotely
Basic Qualifications:-Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, cyber security, software development, analytics, or AI
-Proficient skills in programming with Python, C++, Java, GO, Rust and other compiled languages
-Strong communications skills
-Demonstrated collaboration skills
-Must be a US Citizen.
Desired Skills:Demonstrated application of skills either through internship experience or school projects
Proficient skills in using machine learning frameworks (Pytorch, Tensorflow, and/or JAX)
Proficient skills with DevOps tools: Docker, Git, CI/CD
Proficient skills with automated unit-, integration-, and system-level testing
Proficient skills with AI/ML DevOps, including the design, development, and optimization of AI/ML pipelines, workflows, and architectures
Proficient skills in writing clean, maintainable code with loose coupling and high cohesion
Proficient skills with software orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, Helm, Istio/Linkerd) and modern GitOps workflows
Proficient skills interfacing with databases (SQL, MongoDB, etc.)
Familiarity with system engineering processes

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
