As a member of the Competitive and Market Intelligence Team, you will have the opportunity to wear lots of hats and be challenged daily. On a typical day, you will support strategic internal teams by providing actionable intelligence on competitive offerings including core Financials, Spend Management, and Professional Services Automation.
Along with working closely with our Corporate Strategy counterparts, this team also sits at the exciting intersection of our Product Management, Product Strategy, Marketing, Sales, and Presales teams, providing exposure to various areas of the business.
About the Role
Job Responsibilities:
Gather intelligence that will improve Workday's competitive position.
Improve sales and pre-sales effectiveness by providing fact-based analysis on competitor offerings including: Financials, Spend Management, and Professional Services Automation.
Support the Field Sales, Pre-sales, Corporate Strategy, Marketing, and Product teams.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
12+ years’ experience in strategy or competitive and market intelligence in or adjacent to the enterprise SaaS or AI industry.
12+ years established business acumen with the ability to leverage existing experience and research to be credible across a wide range of industries.
Commitment to a systematic and ethical approach to Strategic Intelligence.
Extensive knowledge of market and pursuit dynamics and ability to think strategically about driving software opportunities forward.
Other Qualifications:
Extensive experience engaging with senior executives and enterprise sales teams.
Ability to present clear and concise messages to audience including executive leadership.
Proven research and analytical skills
“Get it done” mentality - willingness to roll up the sleeves in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to travel domestically (less than 20%).
50% hybrid reporting to our Pleasanton, CA campus.

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $180,000 USD - $270,000 USD
Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $152,000 USD - $270,000 USD
