Overview
The Operations Manager (OM) is responsible for the direct oversight of the day-to-day operations of cleanroom construction projects, including final construction cleanups, super clean services, and sustaining maintenance activities. The OM is further responsible for ensuring that productivity levels and customer service requirements are being met and that supervisor, leads and front-line employees are complying with all safety, quality and compliance standards established by the company, by our clients and by regulatory authorities.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversees and coordinates all cleanup operations across construction sites, including buildings, trailers, parking lots, and surrounding grounds.
• Develops and implements schedules for final construction cleanups, super cleans, and ongoing sustaining services.
• Manages super clean activities in newly constructed or renovated cleanrooms, ensuring compliance with cleanliness standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Supervises detailed cleaning procedures using specialized agents, equipment, and techniques to eliminate particles, oils, and contaminants from cleanroom surfaces, fixtures, and equipment.
• Assists in the administration and implementation of policies, systems, programs, and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with safety and security protocols established by the company, clients, and regulatory authorities.
• Maintains a safe and secure work environment while promoting employee development through training and growth opportunities.
• Responds to client staffing adjustments and ensures service continuity.
• Analyzes and resolves quality and customer service issues, identifies trends, and recommends improvements.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients and ABM staff.
• Coaches and counsels employees, enforces company policies, and recommends disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Sets a positive and professional example for the workforce.
• Achieves financial targets through efficient scheduling and time management.
• Contributes to departmental success by performing other essential duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Bilingual required (English, Spanish)
• Ability to train, manage and develop a team
• High energy level with strong commitment to service quality
• 5+ years of operational experience in managing personnel
• Previous operational experience working in a semiconductor facility strongly desired
• Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends if needed
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals and handbooks
• Possess and utilize effective listening skills
• Strong understanding of computer software programs, including Microsoft Office
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift).
• Ability to climb and descend stairs multiple times per day without assistance.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds with proper technique.
• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and work in confined or awkward spaces as needed.
• Ability to maintain alertness and mobility while performing rounds or inspection walks throughout large facility areas.
• Must be able to perform moderate physical activity continuously in indoor and semi-industrial environments (including variable temperatures).
• Must have sufficient vision, hearing, and coordination to observe entry points, operate access equipment, and communicate effectively.
• Wear protective gear or respiratory equipment when required.

DRIVING CONDITIONS
To operate a vehicle at the customer’s site, employees must obtain an ABM drivers permit per the ABM Drivers Safety MVR registration program. This policy checks for a valid State ID along with a citation background check, and those with high risk driving habits will need additional driver education in order to obtain the permit. Employees who operate company vehicles must consistently meet the requirements of the Facility Vehicle Safety Program.
