What does a successful Manager, Project Management do?
The Manager, Project Management is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and guiding project management teams to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders. This individual will bring a strategic vision and business acumen to the organization, driving efficiency and fostering collaboration across departments. This role operates under limited supervision with guidance from the Director, PMO leader, contributing to the success of Fiserv.
What you will do:
- Drive project planning and execution by ensuring comprehensive project plans that outline scopes, goals, deliverables, resources, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate resources effectively and manage project teams to ensure successful completion of projects.
- Lead and mentor project managers, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance, and fostering a collaborative and proactive team environment.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support your team in identifying potential risks and help them develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success, and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet the highest standards, conducting regular reviews and audits.
- Oversee project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
- Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare and present detailed project reports, including progress updates, resource utilization, and financial summaries, while maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
What you will need to have:
- 9+ years of experience in project management, including 4+ years in a leadership role.
- 9+ years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment.
- 6+ years of experience with full product lifecycle development and various technology methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or related field and/or equivalent military experience.
What would be great to have:
- Experience in banking, financial services, and/or software industries.
- PMI certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP).
- 7+ years of experience managing software implementation projects.
- Proficiency in MS Project.
- 8+ years of experience with the Clarity tool.
- 8+ years of experience with capacity planning.

- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
