What does a successful Software Development Engineering - Professional II do at Fiserv?
You will design, develop and maintain production-quality software and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet business and client needs.
What you will do:
- Design, develop and implement software applications that support business and client requirements.
- Collaborate with product, QA and operations teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and designs.
- Write, test and debug high-quality code to ensure performance, reliability and security.
- Maintain and enhance existing codebases, resolve defects and improve system performance.
- Participate in peer code reviews and produce clear technical documentation.
What you should have:
- 3+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years working with COBOL and IBM utilities.
- 1+ year experience with object-oriented languages such as Java, C, C#, or C++ and 1+ year with DB2 (SQL) databases.
- 1+ year experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and 1+ year with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- 1+ year experience working in Agile teams; equivalent combinations of education, related experience or military service considered.
What would be great to have:
- 1+ year experience in the financial services industry (preferred).
