Key responsibilities involve troubleshooting, diagnosing problems, guiding users through solutions, and performing tasks like installation, maintenance, and repair of computer equipment and systems. A successful candidate must have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and technical knowledge of operating systems and common hardware and software.
Key responsibilities
Troubleshooting and support: Diagnose and resolve technical issues for hardware, software, and networks for both internal employees and external customers.
User guidance: Walk users through step-by-step instructions to fix problems or use new software.
Installation and setup: Install and configure new hardware, software, and systems for users and the organization.
Maintenance and repair: Perform routine maintenance on computer systems and networks, and repair or replace faulty equipment.
Documentation: Document user issues, solutions, and create help desk tickets for tracking and escalation.
System monitoring: Monitor computer systems and networks to ensure they are operating correctly and efficiently.
User account management: Set up new user accounts and manage access permissions.
